It’s Day 205 of what feels like the Unrelenting Coup Against America by the Neo-Confederacy of Fools.. There are 447 days till we get rid of them.
THIS IS IMPORTANT: Yesterday, Maladministration II advanced Project 2025 ‘s determination to reshape American culture from a right-wing perspective, sending a letter to Dr. Lonnie Bunch, Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, informing him they intend to review museum exhibitions, curatorial processes, planning, the use of collections, and artists grants in order to make sure they align “with the president’s directive to celebrate American exceptionalism, remove divisive or partisan narratives, and restore confidence in our shared cultural institutions.” The review will focus on the “National Museum of American History, the National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of African-American History and Culture, the National Museum of the American Indian, the National Air and Space Museum, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the National Portrait Gallery and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.” Russell Vought, author of Project 2025, will head this review. This announcement about the Smithsonian means that all the real history - as opposed to the Official Mythology - the history of women’s suffrage, of the labor movement, of the civil rights movement, of all the events that let us know that we are not in fact “the world’s greatest democracy,” that we have perpetrated evil through worldviews like “manifest destiny” and “White Supremacy” that were later used by Hitler and the Nazis to justify their crimes against humanity, all that will disappear as the Official Mythology that White People Have Done Well For Everyone becomes hegemonic again culturally, as it was before the Second Reconstruction began in 1954. The “noble lost cause” of the Confederacy is already being reinstated, with the restoration of statues of Confederate Traitors being returned to their places of display as objects of veneration. THIS IS NO ACCIDENT. This is being done for the same reason that the “degenerate art” associated with intellectuals, communists, Jews and gays was targeted by the Nazis, the same reason “non-Islamic” art was destroyed by ISIS and the Taliban, why Russia demands that people in the conquered territories in Ukraine speak Russian and learn history from a Russian perspective. It is how dictatorship controls society more thoroughly than any gang of thugs can do. The Enemy is now actively rejecting all the ideas that threaten them, the people that threaten them, the words that threaten them; with their increasing control of the media that actively support them or is willing to follow their direction, they are beginning to control what we can say and how we can express ourselves and where. This is where the battle that will determine if we can remain the flawed democracy that aspires to improvement has been and is being fought. They are now out in the open with their demand for surrender. Winning this battle is far more important than any fight over laws being passed in Congress or winning decisions by the courts as to what is allowed. This is about how we are allowed to define ourselves as Americans, and what that means for the future. This will happen if we let it, and then it won’t matter which scumbag is in Whitey’s House. The Secretary of the Smithsonian replied: “The Smithsonian’s work is grounded in a deep commitment to scholarly excellence, rigorous research, and the accurate, factual presentation of history. We are reviewing the letter with this commitment in mind and will continue to collaborate constructively with the White House, Congress, and our governing Board of Regents.” This morning, we got a taste of wha “MAGA art” looks like with the third-rate talents COMINCHEAT nominated for Kennedy Center Honors. That’s pretty much the same kind of Kultur Hitler the failed artist promoted.
Wrong RFK Got Shot got slapped down hard when he requested the editor of the Annals of Internal Medicine to retract a 2025 study, which analyzed data from 1.2 million Danish children and focused on vaccines that contain aluminum. “I see no reason for retraction,” said Dr. Christine Laine, the head of the journal and a professor of medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Wrong RFK published an op-ed on Trial Site News earlier this month with the title “Flawed Science, Bought Conclusion: The Aluminum Vaccine Study the Media Won’t Question” that described the Danish study as “so deeply flawed it functions not as science but as a deceitful propaganda stunt by the pharmaceutical industry.” The op-ed further attacked the study’s lead author, Anders Hviid, for accepting funding from the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
Hviid rebuked Wrong RFK in a response on Trial Site News, writing that “none of the critiques put forward by the Secretary are substantive.” He pointed out that it would be impossible to address two of Wrong RFK’s primary critiques—that the study lacked a control group and didn’t present the raw data it was based on—due to the lack of unvaccinated Danish children and because of a Danish law prohibiting the release of individual-level medical data. Almost seven months into his “Make America Healthy Again” campaign, the U.S. has seen measles cases hit a 30-year high. The number of people who say they can’t afford medical care has also hit an all-time high. Where are Lee Harvey Oswald and Sirhan Sirhan when we really need them?
I hatehatehate it when I agree with Marjorie Traitor Goon about ANYTHING!!! Marjorie Taylor Greene ripped into far-right provocateur Laura Loomer after the self-appointed MAGA loyalty test administrator attacked a Medal of Honor recipient on social media. U.S. Army Capt. Florent Groberg tackled a suicide bomber in Afghanistan on Aug. 8, 2012, saving numerous people, including several high-ranking coalition and Afghan national army commanders. Groberg was born in France and raised the U.S., becoming a naturalized citizen in 2001. He joined the Army in 2008 and deployed to Afghanistan twice. He suffered severe injuries in the 2012 attack, which also killed four U.S. soldiers. After the Army shared his story on the anniversary of the attack, Loomer criticized the Army for honoring an “anti-Trump Leftist” on its social media channels. Her comments prompted backlash from several MAGA supporters, including Greene. “Laura Loomer has ZERO respect or reverence for even the most heroic people in America,” she wrote in a social media post. “Ask any veteran, military member, and American, no one cares about his politics, the man was willing to die to save others from a suicide bomber. Shut up Laura.” Loomer’s another of the oxygen thieves of TrumpWorld who will finally do something right when she’s found face down in a dark D.C. alley.

AOL has quietly announced that on September 30, it will discontinue dial-up service - something that over 160,000 Americans still used to access the internet when surveyed in 2023. As many others are noting, one of those AOL3 hard disks they distributed everywhere was my entry into the world of the internet. Previous to that, I hadn’t really thought of computers as more than a glorified Word Processor. Over the past 29 years since Jurate came home from the Borders Bookstore (why is it all the good stores get replaced by shitty stores like B&N?) with two of those things and gave me one, my favorite hobby opened up to a planetary phenomenon, with new ideas from others coming fast and furious over the years and vastly improving my enjoyment of building little plastic scale models. Not only that, but friends came with all that information, some of whom I have now known since the first month I went online - from literally all over the world. I certainly would not have the careers I have as a military history author and political observer without it (I got discovered by my publisher when they ran across the history pieces I attached to my model reviews). Now I literally am “known world-wide.” I now have a hard time NOT being involved daily with my computer (though you will never find me walking into traffic with my nose in my phone - it’s deliberately offline). It really has been “a thorough revolution” that came from those disks. There’s also this: Losing dialup may be the difference between having internet access or not for rural America. How are the ~200k Americans losing access to AOL dialup going to be able to access the online resources now? Are they? Or did they just get even MORE shut out of access to healthcare, information, employment and family?
Remember, global warming is a liberal plot: Tell that to all the people in Wisconsin whose cars ended up submerged in flood waters due to “historic” rain fall in the state this past weekend with power outages throughout the state and the last day of the annual state fair being cancelled. In Milwaukee, there was 10 inches of rainfall in a matter of hours. The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Wisconsin and several other states in the Midwest. The prisoners and staff in the Nebraska State penitentiary know all about that - the housing unit in the prison saw its roof blown off August 9 in a severe storm. Yes, this is not normal. But Maladministration II is doing everything it can to wipe out all knowledge of the subject of global warming. National Parks that featured commentary pointing out the role of climate change in the creation of parts of them are no required to ditch those signs and place new ones that mention nothing about any of that. NASA has been ordered to allow a satellite that has been in orbit to study plant growth and water use - which allows communities to make changes in agricultural plans and other things - to fall out of orbit this fall and burn up in the atmosphere. That despite the fact the satellite information accessed led to dramatic drops in crop damage and in new growth. All government money being spent on development of renewable energy is being canceled. It’s like the scumbags want things to get worse. It’s not just here. Last week China was hit with “historic” flooding with high losses of property and people.
While Dilbert was holding his Bullshit & Baloney Act at the White House on Monday and giving more evidence of his continuing mental loss, 3,000 miles west, a more meaningful event regarding his attempt to occupy American cities was playing out in Los Angeles Federal Court, where Governor Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta argued that what COMINCHEAT had done to the city in June when he activated 4,000 California National Guardsmen and brought 700 Marines into Los Angeles to contain what Maladministration tried to portray in the press as a “rebellion” against the immigration pogroms amounted to a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act - which forbids the use of the military for domestic law enforcement. The government agreed the troops in Los Angeles were subject to the Posse Comitatus Act and that they were placed in the city to guard federal buildings and law enforcement officials. But witnesses said troops accompanied ICE when they made arrests; one of the documents introduced related to the massive troop presence in MacArthur Park on July 7; it said the purpose of the mission was to “protect the execution of joint federal law enforcement missions...while preserving public safety and demonstrating federal reach and presence.” The words “demonstrating federal reach and presence” get to the heart of Maladministration II’s object; it shows federal troops exercising power over civilians even while telling the court they are not. Making people fear the government is key to the rise of an authoritarian. The trial continues through Wednesday.
Yes, it’s happening, goddamnit: Harvard University and Maladministration II are nearing a potentially landmark legal settlement that would see Harvard agree to spend $500 million in exchange for the restoration of billions of dollars in federal research funding, according to four people familiar with the deliberations. Under the framework coming together, Harvard would agree to spend $500 million on vocational and educational programs and research, three of the people said. That figure, currently penciled in to be paid out over years, would meet a demand from COMINCHEAT that Harvard spend more than double what Columbia University agreed last month to pay. It would also satisfy Harvard’s wish that it not pay the government directly, as Columbia is doing. Harvard would also make commitments to continue its efforts to combat antisemitism on campus, two of the people said. In return, Harvard would see its research funding restored and avoid the appointment of a monitor, a condition the school has demanded as a way to preserve its academic independence. So much for Acadamania. With this they’ll all surrender. Here’s what’s coming next: The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced this morning that George Washington University is in violation of federal civil rights law and described it as “deliberately indifferent” to antisemitism on campus. The DOJ said George Washington took “no meaningful action” to combat antisemitism that led to harm to Jewish students and faculty.
COMINCHEAT plans to nominate the woefully unqualified E.J. Antoni, currently the “chief economist” at the Heritage Foundation, to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics. He previously worked for the conservative Texas Public Policy Foundation. Antoni, a strident BLS critic, would replace Erika McEntarfer, who was fired by the president after he baselessly claimed that the jobs numbers were “rigged.” "Our Economy is booming, and E.J. will ensure that the Numbers released are HONEST and ACCURATE," Dilbert wrote on Lies Anti-Social. The choice of a partisan economist to oversee the bureau is likely to raise fresh questions about the reliability of market-moving government data. Antoni said after the annuncement of his nominatiin that the BLS should “suspend issuing the monthly jobs reports, but keep publishing more accurate, though less timely, quarterly data.” Economists across the ideological spectrum have accused Antoni of making misleading and inaccurate claims about the economy to support Dilbert’s policies, and his decision to issue reports less often is seen as a way to “cook the books” and criticize Democrats. Antoni, who contributed to Project 2025, is expected to be easily confirmed by the Horses’ Asses in the Senate, where he’ll only need a majority of votes from the jellyfish. Kyle Pomerleau, senior fellow at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, said: “There are a lot of competent conservative economists that could do this job. E.J. is not one of them.”
Maladministration II is evaluating plans that would establish a “Domestic Civil Disturbance Quick Reaction Force” composed of hundreds of National Guard troops tasked with rapidly deploying into American cities facing protests or other unrest, according to internal Pentagon documents reviewed by The Washington Post. The plan calls for 600 troops to be on standby at all times so they can deploy in as little as one hour, the documents say. They would be split into two groups of 300 and stationed at military bases in Alabama and Arizona, with purview of regions east and west of the Mississippi River, respectively. Los Angeles and D.C. are test flights, folks.
Yet another Republican lawmaker was drowned out by boos and jeers—not to mention repeatedly being called a “liar” and even an “asshole”—after he tried to sell Trump’s legislative agenda at an in-person town hall meeting. Rep. Doug LaMalfa of California was hammered on Monday over the Big Bad Bill, the administration’s devastating tariff policy, and his party’s failure to release the Jeffrey Epstein files. It was the first time LaMalfa—who represents a large swath of rural Northern California—had held an in-person forum in almost eight years, according to Cal Matters. “You all left,” one woman said. “The speaker of the House released you guys so you didn’t have to deal with releasing the files.” Others ripped into him for backing cuts to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Medicaid, and public media. As LaMalfa tried to claim that recent VA reforms target “bad apples” and seek to impose “accountability,” the man who asked the question said his VA care was working “just fine” before. He then got up and walked out, saying, “I don’t appreciate that man.” On the topic of Medicaid, LaMalfa said, “This bill is not going to be the be-all, end-all on the whole Medicaid question. It’s not the end of the discussion.” He then claimed the cuts targeted “illegal immigrants.” “Liar!” one man shouted again. “We are not headed towards authoritarian fascist government. We are already there,” one constituent said to loud cheers and applause.
Steve Schmidt gets today’s last word: “Yesterday, pure venom washed over America. It will be followed by masked men, automatic weapons, military vehicles, drones, checkpoints and menace everywhere so that we can be safe and great. The White House was built by slaves, and so was the Capitol of the United States. The federal district was segregated until the mid-1950s. The history of racial injustice and racism that the black citizens of Washington, DC, have endured is real, plain to see and front and center in Trump’s actions, and a central reason that they must be opposed.”

Admitting to "speed reading" some of the sections I already knew about (and have been reading you long enough to have a pretty good idea of your take on them, Tom, always appreciated!). Never ever thought I'd agree with MTG, either, but at least she finally stood up for what's right.
I am so unaccustomed to finding so much to hate, have been trying hard to look at and appreciate every rainbow no matter how small or seemingly insignificant.
“Millions of Americans who have waited decades for fast internet connections will keep waiting after the Trump administration threw a $42 billion high-speed internet program into disarray.”
