Gavin Newsom pretty much took himself out of the game a month or so ago as I recall, but this is really beyond the pale. He won't make it past New Hampshire. He will lose but I am wishing an even more ignominious defeat for Rahm Emmanuel in the 2028 race.
What is it about California Democrats anyway? Katie Porter looked like she was doing some good work in the House when she was there, so maybe she's the exception.
I think Katie Porter is the real deal. She was pretty effective in Congress. I think she just got a little too ambitious too fast in trying to run for Senate. But I always loved watching her take down the Bankers and CEO's with her White Board. 😆

As far as Newsome goes I've known for a long time he has way too much baggage to be POTUS and his antics lately have only made it worse. A distraction?!! WTF?!! I wait with baited breath and salute the two brave Judges who are bringing contempt charges against this Fascist regime. May God keep them safe. I'll be out protesting on Saturday along with millions of others hopefully.
Our wing of the Hands Offers is having a park clean-up and non-perishable food drive for a local food pantry simultaneously with our protest. Even with the F-Trump signs, we still want a wholesome image. And besides, a lot of seniors lacked the steam for the lengthy marches last time.
Just as no one should ever let me run a political campaign, they should not do anything but roll their eyes when I lay out my theory about the causes of autism. I am old enough to have observed infant and child care over many decades, and while it's coincidental, I saw the increase in autism diagnoses parallel the use of plastic pacifiers for calming infants and even toddlers. It's those months and years that are critical to all of a child's development, but especially his brain development. Plastic in one's mouth for long periods can't be a good thing. I'll be on my way now.
Judith, I also think the prevalence of plastics (and forever chemicals) has contributed to the increase in autism. Although my thoughts are that they are affecting the sperm and eggs of the parents pre fertilization.
Thanks for the info on Gavin Newsom. I had no idea! I don’t think he is a viable presidential candidate anyhow. As a California resident,I will acknowledge that there are large cadres of people that will never vote for a California candidate period, regardless of how “moderate” he tries to appear.

That's great Judith!! We are having a food drive and litter clean up also since it's a Day of Action. I'm disabled so can't March a long ways either.
