Well, that wasn’t what I was expecting to find as Number 1 on the morning’s news feed. Phucker Carlson out on his ear, and no statement from anyone about how or why.
Reading the chatter, everyone seems to think it has to do with the Dominion law suit.
I disagree.
The Big Names over at Fox only ever get the boot for sexual “misadventures.” Ailes got the boot for repeated sexual harassment of femal staff. Ditto O’Lielly.
So, what might it be?
It might be the lawsuit by Abby Grossberg. She last worked for Fox as Phucker’s booking producer, and she included allegations about a “hostile work environment” on Phucker’s show.
Back on March 20, in response to her lawsuit alleging she had been subjected to “concerted efforts and actions” from Fox’s legal team that ultimately caused her to testify in a way that portrayed the facts “in a false light” in order to “shift culpability” away from senior Fox News executives and “away from Fox Corporation,”Fox filed suit against her, seeking a restraining order to prevent her from divulging privileged information that it said would cause the network to “suffer immediate irreparable harm.”
But the very next day, Fox dropped the suit.
What happened?
Well, given the “Kultur” there, her attorney might just have turned over significant evidence that Phucker can’t keep his peter in his pants. That’s the kind of stuff that makes Fox attorneys think twice about proceeding with whatever nefarious scheme they’re involved on.
Maybe the agreement was, “You guys drop him, and I won’t hit you with another Gretchen Carlson multi-million dollar embarrassment right in the middle of your exposure for being lying shitheads.”
That’s my bet, and I would put “serious money” on it, were I a betting man.
Time will tell, and we shall see. This sort of stuff *always* gets out.
UPDATE: I was in the ballpark with my guess. It wasn’t just sexist crap, but the sexist crap played a big part.
From “The Confider” column at The Daily Beast:
it was Fox Corp CEO Lachlan Murdoch and Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott who made the call on Friday night to can him and his show, Confider has learned, thanks largely (and surprisingly) in part to vulgar comments he made about Sidney Powell, the right wing lawyer behind many of the bonkers 2020 election lies pushed on Fox’s airwaves.
Tucker was already pissing off Fox management between his conspiracy-laden coverage of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, including the repeated and baseless targeting of Trump supporter Ray Epps as being an FBI agent who instigated the insurrection; a looming lawsuit from his former producer Abby Grossberg alleging a sexist work environment; and his disparaging remarks about Fox brass in documents made public.
But most egregious, and what loomed large in his termination, people familiar with the matter told Confider, was how during his deposition with Dominion lawyers, when he was asked if “this wasn’t the only time you referred to Sidney Powell as a cunt,” the Fox News star responded: “You know I-I-I can’t know and I just want to apologize preemptively. I mean you’re trying to embarrass me, you’re definitely succeeding as I am embarrassed.”
Carlson being nailed in court documents for his repeated use of the overtly misogynist c-word was a key factor in his demise, as Fox News had rid itself of Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly after years of sexual-harassment complaints and could not have its biggest star undermining any supposed progress.
UPDATED AGAIN - L.A. Times says the departure is directly related to the Grossman lawsuit and the “hostile atmosphere” charges about the “fratboy” operation. I knew it!
And he didn’t know it had happened till he arrived for work this morning. I love it.

I love the Huffington Post’s headline on this: a picture of the confused whiny face with the words. “TUCK OFF”
