I think Trump will find out - Iranians are not forgiving. The US is in it for many years. If Iran has not developed a nuclear weapon yet, they will now.
"They don't educate their females." So let's bomb.a girls school and kill 40-60 of them. GOP probably has their last chance to muzzle him and salvage their party. One can hope.
Hard to like this but it's true. We're (our & Bibi military) aren't just hitting Iranian military or high command targets. They're bombing the whole country and killing civilians. Good way to influence friends and win enemies.
There are no words...but I will say this...I immediately thought this was a distraction when I saw the headlines this morning. Only time will tell which "thing" we are supposed to forget about while the bombs are flying around. There are so many. God help us all.
Old Foggy Bottom axiom: Never get involved in a land war in Asia, but do we ever learn? Nope, here we go again with the self proclaimed head of his very own Board of Peace getting us involved in another fucking stupid war in the Middle East. (Maybe rebranding to “Bored of Peace” is more apropos?) Meanwhile the Middle Kingdom honchos sit back and watch the U.S. get bogged down and wasting its arsenal in another avoidable conflict with a draft dodging pedophile moron in charge of things…
A modest amount of celebration on the streets of Aussie cities ... Iranians in the diaspora cheering the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. We live in interesting times!
The first thing I thought about when I got up this morning was - Jimmy Carter. How he was betrayed and fucked over by Casey and others. All because he was a Democrat. Also, lets not forget that Diminished Donny pulled out of the treaty between the US and Iran, supported by the EC, UK and the 'off-ramp' countries you mentioned - Russia and China - because Obama.
This, whatever this is, has nothing, NO-thing to do with 1979 or '83. Plain and simple.
Ronald Reagan's team called the Mad Mullahs, and requested they not release the hostages until the day after Reagan won the election - what the quid pro quo was I'm not sure, but Republicans have always had a hugely evil sleaze factor far worse than Democrats ... mostly because (a) Democrats are semi-decent people, and (b) they could never evber count on the CIA, FBI, NSA, DOJ, DOD, or anybody, to be on their side when it really mattered. The irony is that the US Deep State is thoroughly Republican and further right than that - they are the guardian angels of ruthless capitalism, and they have been for ever.
About 75% of Australian air traffic to Europe is through the Middle East ports of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha ... all currently cancelled and large crowds at airports. Same at the other end, for people flying from Europe to Australia. And even quite conservative commentators here are asking the obvious question: if this isn't just about Epstein Files distraction and controlling the Midterm Elections, then what is the point? Bombing Iran does not lead the Iranian People to the sunny uplands of freedom, liberalism, unicorns and cheap beer. There isn't a democratic movement in waiting, hopiing the mullahs will just give up and go home.
Quite the contrary, as there are several layers of authoritarian Iranian groups in place for just this type of situation. There will be no substantial regime change for Iran. Meanwhile we should be working diligently on our own regime change, including getting rid of every GOP overpaid placeholder in congress.
Ann Telnaes nails it again! What a cartoon! WOWEE!

I saw HCR on video with someone whose name I probably should know, but anyway… She spoke of finishing up her column and waiting to hear back from an editor and PING! Incoming “breaking news” bulletin at 1:30 AM or such… Israel and US at war with Iran! WHAAAAT? And Rob Hubbell began his customary 9am Saturday video visit by saying he absolutely called it wrong in his Friday night newsletter declaring that it might be somewhat of a calm and quiet weekend and maybe even week… Think again! Illegal, dangerous war!!! “Lives will be lost, but it will be worth it.” WHAAAAT??
I bumped into this and must say I’m quite shocked! Who would’ve thought? I’ve been thinking it was odd and unfortunate for Jasmine Crockett to throw her hat in the ring with somebody so promising already running (and I believe she is leading in the polls)… She’s a capable firecracker, to be sure.
Just bumped into this, but no photo shows… It’s OK, the opener cartoon, and yesterday’s seven dwarfs (dwarves?) off to work, hi ho, hi ho,… It all balances out. You are forgiven. It might’ve been kitties or a beautiful snowy scene or…
I knew there was something "too good to be true" about Talarico - it always happens with these damn bible-bangers (whether he's banging it different from others doesn't matter, he's banging it). Everyone should read that article, especially folks in Texas.
I never warmed to Talarico. At all. We need seasoned Nazi fighters for this war. She has a long track record of service including as a prosecutor. At least she can recognize a crime when she sees one. We don't have time to send privates to Congressional boot camp and hope they come out as a newbie SEAL team member. Hope Crockett wins.
Totally totally concur here. I had not followed it closely, thought I was seeing good character, but this whole financial aspect is a stunner.
And I did not mean to sound as if objecting to her candidacy… it felt duplicitous in an arena where someone of character was already on a successful trajectory… It felt confusing…
At this point, absolutely, I hope she wins, not just the primary, of course, but the Senatorial position itself! She’s the Simone Biles or the Alysa Liu of what she does… I do so admire her! Capable, experienced, courageous… Seemingly fearless, but I won’t presume that… She overcomes fear with <informed> courage. Thanks for your comment!
Iran doesn't need its own nukes. They can get them from Russia and/or Pakistan. Russia has the most nukes, although many of them are quite old and likely failure prone. Trump, ever the idiot, has expressed a desire to use nukes. Somebody needs to hide the football.

Thank you, TC. Needless to say....I am so angry and upset. To anyone that voted for Trumpty Dumpty. FU
I knew it I knew it I knew it.......
FRIDAYS are when Trump must really load up on the Adderall and Kegsbreath chugging whatever.
What other explanations are there?!
They also catch the news on the deadest night of the week.
He definitely raped little girls.
The “pro-life” admin…NOT !

More little girl victims. How ironic.
I wonder how many Iranian sleeper teams are moving on their targets now. Mierda Largo?
A leader for a leader?
A control freak for a control freak.
FAFO.

I wonder how all the US auto makers who started dumping their capabilities for building electric cars are feeling today. Seems like a really bad bet.
Excellent recap TC. You read all the crap so I don’t have to (but I do). Thanks

Agreed, “…too good to be true… “
Makes me sad…

I'm a Jasmine fan. She's highly capable. I'm glad I don't live in Texas. But if I did, she would have my vote 🗳
YES!!! ❤️❤️❤️
