I was on the way home from a run to the post office (that of which could merit an entire long comment itself. Some other time) when I had the radio on and a Trump clip was aired. In it, he's talking about this war and said something along the lines of "people say I'm going to get bored with the war, but I'm not going to get bored."
THINK ABOUT THAT: this war outcome depends upon whether it can hold HIS INTEREST!?!?
We are NOT the crazy ones, WE are not the crazy ones, We are not the CRAZY ones!!
Sheesh, I heard him speak of the sacrifice of those wounded, and then those who have already paid the ultimate sacrifice, followed by some comment about how “that’s just the way it is.”
And then saying ultimately this will be a great “deal” for the world. Deal? It’s not a game show.!!!!!
I can’t track my morning SUBSTACK path well enough to know who said that already… No doubt multiple authors. “Deal”? Semantics, anyone?
(I know, I know, solely transactional mindset.)
If we’re talking deal, it sounds like the nuclear proliferation talks were moving successfully toward a better “deal” than that brokered by the Obama admin, with the Iranian rep offering to dilute uranium supplies (meaning to dilute the material…? I’m not knowledgeable about these things.), saying they want to be able to continue research and development of uranium for the good of their population, their country, not for making bombs.
And then yesterday somebody was reporting that Trump was frustrated that Iran was not cowed into whimperingly requesting a cease-fire.
No way! They were attacked and they are standing up to it!
The author said that Trump expected this to last maybe for a day or two or three… Maybe five but, as is typical, he wasn’t looking any farther ahead than that!
And then there’s Kegseth, but I won’t even go there.
Your closure is magnificent, as you bang your head on the keyboard. (Kitties type interesting things too.)
It brings to mind freshman year in college when I was using a mechanical typewriter for my papers (Yes, I’m old.), and on more than one occasion, fell asleep while typing into the wee hours… I’d wake up to find gibberish on the paper and of course I’d have to start that page over… More damage than whiteout could handle. Ah, the memories.
I'm old, too, and quite often, one of the kitties likes to walk across the keyboard if I am too slow to get her 10:00 am feeding (at which times she gets her thyroid, steroid, vitamin, metamucil, and every two weeks, her chemo pill.) YES SHE'S WORTH IT!!
Michael D. Sellers remarked about this in his newsletter I read late last night… morality aside, his professional background was piqued to know more about the precision of intel that allowed for such a surgical strike to be performed… including moving up the timeline because meetings in Iran were held earlier than originally scheduled. Yep, Marsha, I think you’re right.
You and Rick Wilson are correct. Everything Trump touches, dies, and not because he has a Midas touch. He’s an F@&king moron, so said Rex Tillerson. Thank you for laying out the facts. So many people died while this f@ckwit was in office the first time. Now even more people will die—needlessly because of a POS like felon 45/47.
Thank you, TC. Lots of information...that is questionable and scary. We know not what tomorrow will bring...I could not listen to his lies this day. I shut the TV off....once again. Whatever he said has to be a big fat lie out of his lying mouth.
Hear hear for kitties! Yes, Dumfuck belongs at the top!
For some reason, I jumped to comments first today. Next, I’ll read the newsletter.
I think in some idle moment, I will go back through the archives and copy all the kitty pictures into a file so they’re all in one place, available at will to bring a warm, heartfelt smile. What a treat!
During the process, I’ll no doubt save all the lovely nature scenes by photographer extraordinaire KarenRN.
I just parked at my favorite informal park ‘n’ drive where the road that leaves the northern end of town intersects with a major freeway… Very rural scene with coastal hills and grasslands, while even the mountains across the bay show in purple silhouette, including Mt. Hamilton…
The cloud formations are phenomenal today, incredibly photogenic, while up close, the tiniest violet-colored blooms are waving in the breeze.
Rain wasn’t in the forecast, but we’ve gotten a few light sprinkles. All a refreshing surprise.
With some frequency, I park and stand by the stop-sign pole to take a 360° video of the skies. I post on our town email forum in case people are inside, maybe even homebound or haven’t gone out yet, have no way to know of the spectacular beauty out here today.
While sharing is gratifying, I’m well aware I personally needed this tonic today. I think it’s good to know one’s self well enough to know what enlivens one’s spirit to the core and to remember not to stray too far from that element.
Just finished today’s column and I see something more has popped up, from KarenRN. but first, thank you for today’s post, incredibly detailed and informative, as is your strength and gift…Unique and valuable! Very grateful.
You know the music scene a lot better than many of us… Listened to this post from Dean Blundell this morning while getting ready for the day ~ actively searched my mind to see with whom I might share it, because it speaks volumes. Sadly, a number of people who came to mind are no longer alive… In a way, wishing it were shorter because the message would capture the interest of some, but I don’t know if they would hang in there through the whole thing. Anyway, for what it’s worth, sharing here.
Nitpicking: not enough panic on the felon's face as he runs from the Blue Wave.
Heartfelt: here's hoping that the Blue Wave actually happens!
Yes, Robert!!!!
My thought, also, is that the image of him looks far too healthy.

Careful, there lady - the head that should be banging on the keyboard is the orange doodah! I think you need a break - well, we all do, actually!
My guess is that Israel did the heavy lifting as far as intelligence and planning went.

No cat today. A great loss. Put the picture of Dumfuck at the top!

OK, TAMF newsletter, here I come!
This is the best analysis of the situation I have read today - Thanks!

WOW, what truth
It served the needs of TWO criminals, not one. DJT and Netanyahu.
"personal political needs of one criminal?" Two criminals; Nitwityoohoo needs this to stay out of jail even more than Trumplethinskin.
Biggest grim and dark laugh of the day==Hegseth bellowing that "We didn't start this war, but under President Trump, we will finish it."
Thank you for the deep dives. I simply can’t watch the news anymore.
Thanks Tom for the excellent report. The best I've read today.
