Thank you everyone! We are super excited to be engaged! At least something good is happening in all the darkness.

Like your uncle says, "Happy Forever!" to you and your fiancée!

Baby Donald Smallhands the Insane's effort to pardon Tina Peters clearly is a gambit to establish the right for Trump to pardon anyone convicted in state courts as well as in federal courts--and of course, he would begin by pardoning himself for the 37 felony convictions in NY. And then offer blanket pardons to all of his minions facing state charges.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

A truer statement was never written:

“… reminding us that events in the Middle East continue to be too complicated for American politicians to understand.”

Thanks, Tom.

the Israelis used to be the good guys. Chump and Netanyahu have “Orwelled” the whole situation.

Thank you, TC. Congratulations on your engagement David and Amanda. May you both love until death to you part! I hope it is a very long time for you both.

On another note I thought Republicans in Indiana would do the right thing when hell froze over....well it snowed all day yesterday here in Indiana and it was below zero when I got up this morning. It is 9 on my watch currently. We still have a fight ahead here in Indiana to get rid of the Maggot Braun and Trumpty Dumpty! We have way to many people glued to Fox (Entertainment) News.

Wonderful personal news for your family, and another great Karen photo.

Congratulations to David and Amanda on their engagement. As for tsuris, Trump plans to inflict as much of it as he can on ordinary people!

Congrats to your nephew and the Amazing Amanda. Meanwhile, as if we didn't have enough drama, we've had six weeks of cold weather in the upper midwest and no end in sight. Oh, and some dipshit killed 11 people on Bondi Beach in Australia while they were celebrating Hanukkah. It doesn't just happen here.

It's the good old La Nina happening. You're cold, Karen's looking at a month of rivers flowing over Oregon with storm after storm. And it's been 75-85 in Hell Lay since the beginning of the month, with a forecast for a warm winter. But now you know why S Calif was populated by midwesterners.

Thank your beginning with a tale of real romance because it shows that folks still have hopes and dreams in a world that seems determined to defeat them. May their family stand strong. And thank you for ending with one of Karen RN's best.

47 is a meddling old man to the nth power, a micromanager of things he can only contaminate or totally destroy, performing arts centers, golf courses, dance halls. Do not let him near any schools.

The report on the marine saving a man's life at serious risk to his own makes my heart sing. Lucky for mankind that many people are wired to respond to danger in heroic ways. We need these reports to counteract the despair that sets in every time there's a mass shooting. Brown U., a school of very bright students, was hit yesterday. And today in 2012 twenty children and six staffers were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary. And Alex Jones is still an a-ho. Congress has had 13 years to enact reasonable regulations, including the ban on automatic weapons, but nothing has been done to stanch the flow of blood on these shores. Give the heroes more ink, as you have here, and let the villains languish in oblivion.

How did Karen RN get that quail to stand on the yoda-dog's head in the rain?

Karen RN's avatar

I didn’t do anything, just caught a moment in time.

I know phones have taken over the photographer's world, but tell me this was taken with a camera. Which one do you favor?

Karen RN's avatar

It was taken with my camera, a Canon EOS Rebel SL3. I do take a lot of photos with my phone though because it’s always with me. But my camera photos are usually better, but not always

My daughter met the love of her life during COVID. They had both been disillusioned by online dating but decided to give it one more try. They have been together since their first date. We love him dearly and I’m eternally grateful they didn’t give up.

Currently, I am visiting them and my 3 month old granddaughter! Babies sure help soothe an aching heart. As David said, good things are happening despite the darkness.
