"Dilbert’s Flying Arabian Whorehouse." Perfect.

Meanwhile, if Darline Graham wins, she'll be the second consecutive senator named Graham from South Carolina who wore women's clothing.

Yeah, but who wore the clothes better, her or Lindsey??

What a collection of weirdos parading as warriors. This group is always about projection. As for Loomer? Dupes and dopes galore.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

All good news stories reported today… Thank you!

A number of them follow the TACO pattern or at least are on pause.

Stephen Miller is such a piece of work… Somehow that story jumps out at me. He’s absolutely heinous.

Some days I feel like I’m living in an invented world… There’s so much that doesn’t even feel real except I know intellectually that it is. Special stellar SUBSTACKs keep me grounded, just like my HIKE Barefoot Shoes, which my PT therapist says are the best, and I certainly love them. They’re always running a special, so of course I own some in fairly ridiculous colors… Oh well.

Hummingbirds! OMG! Another passion! My patches of star jasmine can be a trap for them as they descend, hover to feed and a smart kitty hides and you see this furry little arm take a swing and snatch them out of mid air. More than once, I’ve rescued a stunned hummingbird from the surprisingly gentle grip by mouth of a kitty… I always relocate the kitty. Once I gently stroked a hummer to awaken it back to consciousness. It flew up to a branch and rested… And then, as I watched, perhaps it had a heart attack… It suddenly just keeled over and went plop on the ground. I was so sad.

Hummers are phenomenal. What a blessing to have a nest in your backyard! Special!

With this horrible hot weather followed by the smoke, I haven't seen the hummers at my feeders. I am concerned.

Air quality is back in the green and the temp is mid 80s and not too humid. I'd like to dine on our patio by the feeders tonight, but the kids next door are being kids, as they should be. That being said, the SCREAMING of the 5-8 year old gnawed away my last nerve. We'll probably stay indoors.

And I'm not a big drinker, we usually indulge with pizza from the nearly Mom & Pop place, plus a bottle of wine on Sunday night. Might need to open a bottle today. A bit of relaxation and a bit of celebration called for.

So glad your air quality reading has inched back toward green and temps coming down a bit too… Humidity factor not very fun… I read few columns today, but one mentioned there are twice as many wildfires on our side of the border than there are in Canada! Perilous!

Pizza from a local mom and pop along with a good wine or brew… Sounds good. While outdoors was inviting, I get it about the neighbor kids and while they can be a delight… not conducive to a peaceful evening meal. Whatever you end up doing, I hope it’s relaxing.

The <latest> cover-up of our government not accurately reporting casualties from this illegal war is inexcusable, so very wrong and disrespectful to the hilt.

The countdown number between now and the midterms keeps going down down down… We have our work cut out for us, but time advances relentlessly, and we all have to team up at the rudder to turn this thing around. Our over-the-top teamwork is definitely bound to pay off! Let’s DO this!

Better crack down on communism and multipolarity? Loomer needs to look up Gus Hall, the onetime perennial communist party candidate on the "for dog's sake" presidential election ballot. What was she doing in Kyiv, standing in the street and pointing out targets for Putin?

Darline Graham may surprise us if she gets elected. If a career working with the disabled hasn't softened any hawk side she has, then her heart wasn't in her work.

The stork dropped me into the two-room wartime apartment of the best of parents, so I can't imagine what horrors descend on Stephen Miller's kids each day. It will only get worse for them after this administration ends and the only employment their father can find is nightwatchman at Brooklyn Zoo's snake house. They'll have no friends, but he'll be among his.

DeChambeau was probably best off failing to get Trumplethinskin involved in the penalty discussion. His World Cup record was 0 for 2 when Argentina lost with his support.

Other side of the coin, New Zealand scored it's fourth ever golf major winner with Ryan Fox's name now on the Claret Jug with Bob Charles (1963). Bonus being, the other three still all living and sent him congratulations.

Good god almighty. I’m in a cabin in Montana with limited WiFi. Just back from my first hike with my buddies through forests and fields of wildflowers. This excuse for an administration strikes me as particularly paranoid and incompetent today. Just plain pathetic. Anyone who could use a dose of moral courage and faith should read Reverend James Lawson’s memoir, Nonviolent. Lawson was the man who introduced MLK to nonviolent resistance and was one of his chief strategists. A remarkable human and a welcome contrast to spineless Agent Orange.

Many thanks TC for your terrific newsletter. 106 days to November 3. Here in Michigan we're facing the August 4 primary. So much is on the line. For the life of me, I cannot understand how anyone can consider voting for any gop candidate. There is nothing to recommend them and plenty to put voters off...in particular that the gop has become a fascist organization. There is no normalizing THAT! The whole notion of "leftist violence and terror" is just BUNK. When herr miller speaks he telling us exactly what his crowd is planning. I happened to hear Ben Wikler interviewed. He and thousands in Wisconsin have done really impressive organizing to reclaim the state for democracy. There's a good lesson in all of that local neighborhood by neighborhood and paying attention to local politics and elections. Thanks again TC. Always thoughtful commentary.

Yet another "grand plan" of WH that has turned into a disaster!

DeChambeau's an ass of the first order. He was one of the most disliked golfers on the Tour, then he took the Saudi blood money and yet can still play in the Grand Slams. Go figure. He's a petulant man/child who thinks stomping his feet and knowing Don the Con will get him out of trouble. The R&A was having none of it. Reminds me of a classic movie line:

"If that's his ball, then I'm Arnold Palmer."

Thank you, TC for TAFM. I can't believe this is only Tuesday. One more day at the 4-H Fair supporting the Clay County Democrats. Tomorrow is a vacation day to celebrate another birthday! It isn't dark out yet.....but I am ready. My eyes are so tired...I has trying to find the kittie in the photo and then felt silly because they were birdies! LOL Nite all!
