After former president and convicted felon Donald Trump played the band's 1998 hit at a rally in Glendale, Ariz., on Friday to welcome Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s endorsement of him, the Foo Fighters said they did not give Trump's team approval to do so. But now the Trump campaign is doubling down and saying it has legal approval to use the song despite what the band claims.

"It's Times Like These facts matter, don't be a Pretender," Trump spokesperson Fu Manchu, er, I mean Odd Job, er, I mean Steven Cheung (look at a photo; you’ll see why I’m confused) tweeted at the Foo Fighters over the weekend, referencing two of the band's songs. The tweet was in response to The Independent reporting that the outlet "has seen documents appearing to confirm that the campaign had indeed licensed the song from BMI's Songview service."

The Foo Fighters, however, are not backing down from their stance that they don't want the Trump campaign using their song.

"Foo Fighters were not asked permission, and if they were they would not have granted it," a representative for the band told EW. "Also any royalties received as a result of this use will be donated to the Harris/Walz campaign."

Frontman Dave Grohl has not hidden his disdain for Trump in the past. "I am ashamed of our president. I feel apologetic for it when I travel," the singer and multi-instrumentalist said in a 2018 GQ profile, adding, "The thing about Trump that stings the most is this: He just seems like a massive jerk."

The US Army issued a stark rebuke of former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign over the incident on Monday at Arlington National Cemetery, saying in a statement on Thursday that participants in the ceremony “were made aware of federal laws” regarding political activity at the cemetery, and “abruptly pushed aside” an employee of the cemetery.

“Participants in the August 26th ceremony and the subsequent Section 60 visit were made aware of federal laws, Army regulations and DoD policies, which clearly prohibit political activities on cemetery grounds. An ANC employee who attempted to ensure adherence to these rules was abruptly pushed aside,” the Army spokesperson said in the statement on Thursday. Section 60 is an area in the cemetery largely reserved for the graves of those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“This incident was unfortunate, and it is also unfortunate that the ANC employee and her professionalism has been unfairly attacked. ANC is a national shrine to the honored dead of the Armed Forces, and its dedicated staff will continue to ensure public ceremonies are conducted with the dignity and respect the nation’s fallen deserve,” the statement said.

The Army spokesperson said while the incident was reported to the police department at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, the employee in question “decided not to press charges” so the Army “considers this matter closed.”

The Army’s statement is a rare rebuke from a military service that loathes to get in the middle of highly political issues.

Let me get this straight: the Arlington National Cemetery employee who Trump’s goons got into a “physical incident” with was a WOMAN.

Because of course, what else to incel scumbags do when they’re confronted by some uppity damn woman who refuses to recognize their wonderfulness and treats them the way their kindergarten teacher treated them when they acted up?

But the important thing is, she “DECIDED NOT TOPRESS CHARGES.”

Two members of Donald Trump's campaign staff had a verbal and physical altercation Monday with an official at Arlington National Cemetery…

A source with knowledge of the incident said the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump staffers from filming and photographing in a section where recent U.S. casualties are buried. The source said Arlington officials had made clear that only cemetery staff members would be authorized to take photographs or film in the area, known as Section 60.

When the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump campaign staff from entering Section 60, campaign staff verbally abused and pushed the official aside, according to the source.

In a statement to NPR, Steven Cheung (the guy I keep confusingwith Fu Manchu and Odd Job), the Trump campaign's spokesman, strongly rejected the notion of a physical altercation, adding: "We are prepared to release footage if such defamatory claims are made.

"The fact is that a private photographer was permitted on the premises and for whatever reason an unnamed individual, clearly suffering from a mental health episode, decided to physically block members of President Trump's team during a very solemn ceremony," Cheung said in the statement.

The Trump campaign declined to make that footage immediately available.

At a campaign event Wednesday, Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance dismissed the story, saying, “The altercation at Arlington Cemetery is the media creating a story where I really don’t think that there is one.” Vance went on to add that, “Apparently somebody at Arlington cemetery, some staff member, had a little disagreement with somebody, and they have turned, the media has turned this, into a national news story.”

And the WOMAN who attempted to enforce the clear rules was defamed by the Trumpscum. “Clearly suffering from a mental health episode…”

And she has declined to press charges.

Arlington officials updated the statement on Wednesday, writing, “To protect the identity of the individual involved, no further information about the incident is being released at this time.”

Because after nine years of watching these jackbooted fascist scumbags, these inbred white male fuckwits, these goddamned motherfuckers, we all know what will happen to her if her identity becomes known.

Because this is how fascism works. Nowadays - since they have learned over these nine years that nothing will happen to them for committing their crimes - they don’t even try to hide it anymore.
