Just a reminder to those free subscribers who have read and liked the earlier posts for “American Stalingrad” - “D-Day” for the Guadalcanal landings is Monday, and from that point there will be lots of posts. So if you were considering becoming a paid subscriber to be able to continue to access the series - which goes behind the TAFM paywall with the next post - this weekend is a good time to take action.
We’re going to have Saturday night at the movies this weekend and over the next week, with “The Speed Merchant,” the last script I was hired to write before I ankled Hollywood. “In The Year of the Monkey” will “screen” on Lbor Day weekend and the week following.
You have been warned. :-)
The new subscriber-only features start soon here at That’s Another Fine Mess. It’s only $7/month or $70/year to be part of the TAFM community.
Comments are for paid subscribers.
I'd say that was good news, for a change.
a funny thing: every time you mention that it'd be good for people to subscribe, my first impulse is to feel guilty for a few seconds, until I realize that I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing.
Sorry I haven’t commented in a while, but it’s been great to see another take on the events leading to Guadalcanal. Looking forward to th3 next installments.
