OMG! 5 miles looks like barely 500 feet. Please take care Tom.

That’s because that cloud of smoke and fire is so f-ing immense.

How are the KitKids acting TC?

Apocalyptic. No other words. Have to say watching the Canadian water planes and firemen from Mexico working to put out the fires moved me to tears. God bless them all.

Five miles or 5,000 we’re all going to see the same environmental catastrophe at some point soon.

I keep looking at the orange and thinking "is that actually flame? Is that up in the smoke reflection or ... it doesn't look like it's all particulate matter..." and I realized I'm not just trying to understand what I'm looking at - I'm trying to believe it.

The orange is the setting sun on the gray smoke. There's no fire in any of those shots.

Please stay safe. I just feel so helpless in the face of such terrible devastation.

That is truly frightening, Tom. There are few experiences worse than living in a fire prone zone and watching as the flames and smoke draw near,

Frightening. Fire is my biggest fear. Stay safe and breathe well Tom.
